About Us
MoneyBackKit Japan is a free set of calculators for everyday money questions in Japan, built from the rules the Japanese authorities publish.
How we work
Every tool is built from the latest documents of the National Tax Agency, the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, the Japan Pension Service, the Japan Health Insurance Association and the Cabinet Office. Each tool shows when we last checked the rules and links to the source.
We update the tools when rules change, including the 2026 basic deduction increase, the new child support levy and the end of the ¥1.06m rule.
What you type is worked out on your device and never sent to us.
